Since 2001 he has been doing research and teaching at the Brandenburg Technical University (BTU) at Cottbus\/Germany. Besides his involvement in the professional education of architects and urban planners he has substantially contributed to the successful establishment of a the new graduate study program on &#8220;Architectural Communication&#8221;, which is on offer at the BTU Cottbus since 2005.<br \/>\nHis scientific work centers around the perception and use of architecture and public space, strategies for the communication of architecture to a wider public, and the investigation of participative planning processes. He has published several books as well as numerous articles and book chapters on these subjects. He has organized conferences and workshops and is a regular contributor to national and international conferences.
